Making Worlds Cooperative Bookstore & Social Center Screening and Assembly: Freedom Dreams Short Film Screening/Debtors Assembly.
Black women are burdened with a disproportionate amount of debt. For example, they graduate with an average of $37,558 in student debt. During this political education session PA Debt Collective member JahAsia Jacobs will lead a discussion on the short film Freedom Dreams: Black Women and the Student Debt Crisis. Following the screening, we will host a Debtors Assembly in which people will be able to break the social silence on indebted life and discuss the abolition of all types of debt.
